04/24/05 �� This article was published in the November, 1950 issue of the Desert Magazine. The author meets with Della Gerbracht, Burro Schmidt, and others before venturing up the peak. The route taken by the author still exists today, on the peak's east side, on the mesa just above the Colorado Camp site. The BLM does plan on closing even this route, thus increasing the hike distance. |
